Point Reyes July 2005

What makes California so wonderful is the great diversity in weekend activities. Craving oysters one day in July, we jumped in the car and headed just North of San Francisco to Point Reyes where there are oyster, mussel and clam farms along the Tomales Bay.

After finding our lunch and enough fresh clams and oysters to last us a few days, we headed across Tomales Bay, past Inverness and up towards Tomales Point. We parked at Pierce Point Ranch and started on the trail out the point. It was mid day by now and the fog was setting in.

Looking across the Tomales Bay to one of the little villages along the coast. Might have been where we had lunch.

The fog set in very thick by the time we made it out on the Peninsula

Then the real fun started when Mary brought out the bubble machine...
